VLSI (VERY LARGE SCALE INTEGRATION)


Moore said those Golden words “number of transistor will double themselves every 18 month” in 1960’s, and the technology support had proven it well on time again and again.This vast technology takes sand(silica) as the raw material & after so many intermediate process finally turn out as a chip with integration of multi-million transistors connected to one another to get the desired characteristics.
VLSI in itself is a wonderful technology which is about understanding & developing internals of an Integrated circuit. The recent trends had proved that Engineers who have VLSI training during or after their Engineering are preferred by the companies of this domain.
